The topic this month is Empathy

In the September 2016 issue of Educational Leadership "Relationships First", Rick Wormeli writes, "For many of us, the daily connections we make with colleagues and students have become routine.  But these connections can make all the difference for our students."  It is our connections and taking time to ask and listen that fosters our relationships with students and staff.  Take a moment to sit in a student's desk, a teacher's podium, a principal's office, a bus driver's seat and see the world from their point of view.  Would you adjust your lesson, your input, your feedback, your thoughts?

    4. I tried the link and ended up entering "emphathy" into the search since the website was embarrassed that it didn't link to something specific. However, it was loaded with engaging clips and resources.

    6. I started a Men"s Club at the Skill Center and used part of the brush up on respect lesson, a couple quotes from the respect page, and the #2 activity under the secondary section. The students did very well with these lessons, and we had great discussion regarding the quotes. Especially the quotes from Confucius and Wolfgang Riebe.
